On SKAI TV’s “Today” program, Akis Pavlopoulos and Dimitris Oikonomou commented on the stance of PASOK, citing an earlier statement by Dimitris Koutsoubas and criticism of the lack of concrete proposals from the KKE.
Pavlopoulos on PASOK and the reference to Koutsoubas’s remark
Akis Pavlopoulos, commenting on the stance of PASOK, argued that the party is essentially adopting a phrase previously used by Dimitris Koutsoubas. As he characteristically noted, “It’s not ‘how much it costs,’ as Koutsoubas had said, but ‘how much it loses.’”
Subsequently, Dimitris Oikonomou commented that the general secretary of the KKE is good with figures of speech, but raised questions regarding substance and policy positions. “Sure, Koutsoubas is good with wordplay. Do we have any proposals that are better? Playing with words is all well and good, but seriously, does he have any proposal to share with us? Tell us a proposal,” he said.
Akis Pavlopoulos replied sarcastically, “in favor of the people,” with Dimitris Oikonomou wrapping up the exchange by saying: “Oh, okay, okay.”
