Aris Portosalte referred to the scandal OPEKEPE, in the investigation by “To Manifesto,” Cognitera’s cease-and-desist letter, and the statements by Georgiadis and Bakogiannis.
The survey by “To Manifesto” and Portosalte’s new reports
Aris Portosalte, speaking on the show “Today” on SKAI, referred to the newspaper To Manifesto, claiming that he is continuing his investigation into the OPEKEPE scandal, focusing on illegal funding and not, as he said, on a possible political conspiracy.
According to the journalist, the newspaper gives a platform to Barbara Halikia and Dimitris Salatas, who, as he reported, provide additional evidence regarding the private management arm of OPEKEPE.
He also noted that one of the companies involved in the relevant reports, Cognitera, sent a cease-and-desist letter to the newspaper “To Manifesto”.
Portosalte further argued that aspects of the OPEKEPE scandal have not been adequately discussed in the public sphere, while he assessed that two points have been confirmed by the developments in the case so far.
As he noted, the first concerns the position of Adonis Georgiadis, who had argued that the European Public Prosecutor’s Office had created a political situation surrounding the case. The second concerns the position of Dora Bakoyannis, who had stated that the scandal must be thoroughly investigated and must not turn into a case similar to that of Novartis.
