The Ministry of Citizen Protection and the Greek Police are participating in the EKO Rally Acropolis 2026, with a series of initiatives information and awareness-raising regardingsafety, as part of the long-standing collaboration between the Hellenic Police and HELLENiQ ENERGY.
The event will take place from Thursday, June 25, through Sunday, June 28, 2026, at EKO’s specially designed road safety booth in Loutraki and will be open to the public throughout the race.
According to the announcement, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about road safety issues through interactive reflex games, knowledge quizzes, educational activities, and presentations on responsible driving behavior. The booth will be staffed by personnel from the Hellenic Police, who will inform the public about the Highway Code, the use of helmets and seat belts, as well as the dangers associated with driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
At the same time, visitors will be able to see up close technical equipment used in traffic stops, such as breathalyzers and speed guns, learn how they work, and gain insight into the work of the Traffic Police. A unique experience is expected to be the use of special simulation goggles, through which participants will be able to perceive the effects of intoxication, fatigue, and drug use on driving ability.
For young visitors, there will beeducational materials and road safety activity workbooks available, while throughout the event, there will be raffles with prizes such as breathalyzers and spots in road safety seminars at driving academy.
