The television home of the Greek basketball league is changing permanently, as SKAI has secured the broadcasting rights to the Stoiximan GBL for the next three years.
The proposal by Yiannis Alafouzos’s television station was unanimously accepted by the ESAKE Board of Directors with a vote of 14-0, bringing an end to the league’s long-standing presence on public television.
The financial aspect of this historic agreement amounts to 25 million euros over the course of three years, a fact that seals the move of the games to Faliro through 2029.
The multi-day negotiations concluded with complete success, ushering in a new era for television broadcasts of domestic basketball, as ERT is now passing the baton.
