Mandrou on the disagreement regarding the terms of Greek prosecutors

Ioanna Mandrou, speaking on the show “HERE* with Stamatis Zacharos on EMU, he discussed the case of Laura Kovesi’s appeal before the Full Court of the Supreme Court, regarding the terms of office of the three Greek prosecutors serving at the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the journalist, Kovesi had filed an appeal, insisting that the three Greek prosecutors should remain in their positions for another five years, while the Supreme Court had decided to extend their terms by two years.

“The plenary session of the Supreme Court, to which Kovesi had appealed, insisting that the three Greek prosecutors must serve another five years, had granted them two. What was the outcome of this appeal? The appeal was ruled inadmissible—meaning she had no right whatsoever to appeal to the Supreme Court—by a vote of 72 to 10,”, Ioanna Mandrou noted.
