Response to the former executive of PASOK and current shadow minister under TsiprasMarinos Skandamis, was given by Anna Diamantopoulou in response to his criticism of her.

It should be noted that Mr. Skandamis strongly criticized Anna Diamantopoulou, stating that her public statements in support of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the New Democracy party “obscure” PASOK’s message and were a key reason for his departure from the party.

Speaking on Parapolitika 90.1, Anna Diamantopoulou responded to the criticism she received from Mr. Skandamis, saying “He was Secretary-General of the government when Mr. Samaras was Prime Minister; is this gentleman afraid that New Democracy will come to power? I won’t answer that—no comment.”

It should be noted that Marinos Skandamis held key positions of responsibility during the coalition government formed between PASOK and New Democracy from 2012 to 2015.

Specifically, he served as Secretary General for Anti-Crime Policy at the Ministry of Justice, Transparency, and Human Rights, under the coalition government of Antonis Samaras and Evangelos Venizelos.
