Clash in the Parliament between Dimitris Kairidis and Dimitris Mantzos regarding Haris Doukas.
“He imagines himself as prime minister! He doesn’t govern as mayor—he just spouts political rhetoric shamelessly! He is a complete failure as mayor; Athens is in the worst state it has ever been in,” the New Democracy parliamentary spokesperson, Dimitris Kairidis, prompting a response from Dimitris Mantzos.
“What happened in ’23 is very painful; it undermines the government’s prestige. Three years later, get over it!” said the PASOK parliamentary spokesperson,” referring to the personal targeting of Haris Doukas.
“They’re hopeless at PASOK. You’ll have to eat your words in a few days—Haris Doukas has left the party and you don’t even know it…,” replied Dimitris Kairidis, calling on PASOK to take a stance on the mayor’s statements regarding refugee camps, which, according to him, prove that “he’s trailing far behind the fringes.”
