Dimitris Makalias briefly commented on the political situation with a quip about Alexis Tsipras that went viral on social media.
Specifically, Dimitris Makalias from Action24 stated that he doesn’t know how he will vote, but in recent years he has not voted for ruling parties in the interest of political pluralism. However, he acknowledged that by voting, for example, for New Democracy or PASOK, you at least know that the country will follow a specific course and things won’t go to extremes.
He holds the exact opposite view regarding Alexis Tsipras. He argued that the former prime minister should not be re-elected because he could destroy everything in the country overnight.
He explained his position by saying that Tsipras’s time in office was disastrous and claimed that, as prime minister, Alexis Tsipraswas unable to control many situations in the country. In fact, when he heard from Athinaida Nega that Alexis Tsipras had said even now that he himself should have closed the banks sooner, Dimitris Makalias emphasized that this confirms what he has been saying and claimed that all of this is shocking.
He hasn’t learned from his mistakes
Finally, Dimitris Makalias noted that the former prime minister does not seem to have learned from his mistakes and that his left-wing government made many mistakes which it never acknowledged. He concluded that the SYRIZA government had crossed every line and called on the public to watch the documentary “To the Millimeter” to demonstrate, apparently, just how unfit Alexis Tsipras is.
