If you were to evaluate solely on legal criteria the documents of the European Court of Appeal for OPEKEPE would not vote in favour of waiving the immunity of members of parliament, Makis Voridis said.

Speaking to Open and referring to the 13 cases of lifting the immunity of political figures, he noted that he would be negative however, he clarified that he has not made a final decision, as the debate has acquired a strong political dimension, as members of parliament wish to be brought to justice so that there is no shadow around their names, Makis Voridis noted:

I repeat, my heart is closer to my legal status… On the other hand, I understand my colleagues. I may not have to upset them… I will think about it“.
