The most “Sustainable businesses in Greece” is among the Metaxa Hospitality Group, according to the Quality Net Foundation.
For the second consecutive year, this important distinction recognizes the Group’s strong commitment to sustainable tourism development through the systematic integration of ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) criteria in all aspects of its strategic planning and operations, according to a statement.
At the same time, it highlights Metaxa Hospitality Group’s innovative action to promote regenerative hospitality,with initiatives designed to create new value chains with a positive footprint and long-term benefits for people, the environment and the local community.
In order for a company to be included in the annual list of “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece”, multiple levels of evaluation are applied to companies from 10 sectors of the economy that follow a holistic/systemic approach to ESG issues, and actively adopt Sustainable Development as a key parameter of their business strategy and operation.
Metaxa Hospitality Group has been included in the leadership group of the first 43 companies announced, while the evaluation of the remaining companies is ongoing in order to complete the final list for 2026, which is expected to be published in the near future.
The initiative of the Quality Net Foundation for the annual nomination of the most Sustainable Companies in Greeceis being implemented for the 9th consecutive year and is under the auspices of the Ministries of Economy & Finance, Development, Environment & Energy, with the support of SEV, EVEA and the Hellenic Bankers Association, in collaboration with the German Council for Sustainable Development.
