Following its first year of consecutive sell-outs, “The Spirit of God“ continues its run at Mikro Kerameikos for the second year, starting on Sunday 26 April and every Wednesday & Sunday until May 27, 2026.
This show is for those who love thrillers, moral dilemmas and suspense. See this show for a sneak peek into not only the world of the victim but also the world of the abuser. To experience the twist on the edge of your seat, to mentally put yourself in the shoes of the heroes but most importantly for the conversation it will spark afterwards. It’s a show for those who are not afraid to confront the cruel face of our society.
It’s a very tough story which, unfortunately, is not far from reality. The shaft is a trauma of the past . The protagonist , Peter, is the victim. 30 years later, at a reception, in the toilets, Peter has to choose whether to save the life of his thief, who is dying in front of him.
The show gives the hardest clue that theatre can give: truths. To give dream, vision, imaginary worlds is wonderful. To give and convey to the audience truths, what is let fall from their hands and pushed under the rug, that is hard. All the characters are human, nothing is a straight line and everything has more than one side. Can a mother with 2 children become a murderer? Can a man of God be a rapist? Can you have both good and evil in you? And finally, when the viewer leaves the room, have a question for their friends, “What would you do?”
