The number of “Fraudulent Frauds” is increased to 251 by a Joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) signed by the Ministries of Economy and Finance and Environment and Energy.

The CSA signed by Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Stavros Papastavrou is on the subject: “Amendment of the decree no. YPEN/GDPP/35330/646/02.04.2024 Joint Ministerial Decision “Conditions and restrictions for the shores and beaches of high protection (remote beaches)” (B’ 2364), as amended by the Joint Ministerial Decision No. Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources DΦΠΒ/68831/1806 (B’ 3734)”.

This Decision amends a previous Decree on the “Inaccessible Beaches” in order to improve the environmental protection framework, including new beaches in the list of Inaccessible Beaches, increasing their number from 238 to 251.

The above amendment seeks to ensure the effective protection of beaches of particular aesthetic, geomorphological or ecological value, as well as the preservation of the habitat types and flora and fauna species found on these beaches. In particular, increase the number of coastal beaches and beaches within areas included in the National List of sites of the European Ecological Network Natura 2000 and where the granting of simple use is now prohibited, as well as any other action that may endanger their morphology and their integrity in terms of their ecological functions.
