In a videotaped message, Netanyahu said that “I promised that we would change the face of the Middle East and that is exactly what we are doing.”
The Israeli prime minister said he had a telephone conversation with the US president in which they discussed developments in both the ceasefire with Iran and the one with Lebanon.
“I had an excellent conversation with President Trump,” he said, adding that the United States is exerting strong pressure on Tehran, both economically and militarily, and stressing that the two countries are in full coordination.
Referring to the situation in Lebanon, Netanyahu noted that a process is underway aimed at achieving “historical peace” between the two countries, noting however that Hezbollah is attempting to prevent it.
“We maintain full freedom of action against any threat, including new dangers. We hit targets yesterday and we hit targets today. We are determined to restore the security of the people in the north,” he said.
