Extension to the deadline for applications for the Social Tourism 2026-2027 announced the DYPA, moving the deadline for Monday (27/4) at 23:59.
The DYPA administrator, speaking to SSKAI, said that by yesterday morning about 200 had been filed.000 applications, while clarifying that the platform will remain open for all Taxpayer Registration Numbers until the final deadline.
What this year’s programme provides
The programme starts on May 18, 2026, earlier than in other years, and will run for 13 months.
A total of 300,000 vouchers will be given out, with a total budget of €50 million.
Note that the voucher is unique for each beneficiary and allows up to 6 nights in participating accommodation in the Providers Registry, with low private participation.
Subsidy rates are increased by 20% during periods of high demand:
- in August
- the Christmas (15/12/2026 – 14/01/2027)
- the Passover (23/04/2027 – 09/05/2027)
Who gets a free holiday
Beneficiaries can take up to 10 free nights without any private contribution to specific destinations, such as:
Leros, Mytilini, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes.
Similarly, in affected areas such as North Evia, Evros and Thessaly (except Sporades), up to 12 free nights are offered.
