Kostas Kapos makes some very interesting points about Tempi and the attack on NTUA professor Dimitris Karoni.
A few days ago an anarchist group claimed responsibility for the arson of the car of professor Dimitris Karoni. Of course the attack was not random, as the professor was one of the first experts who shot down with official reports the unsubstantiated claims of wood chips and illegal loads in the Tempi tragedy.
As Costas Kapos, who as a technical adviser also shot down these theories, reports Costa Kapos, news of the attack on the professor was hardly played anywhere. Instead some media outlets continue to play every conspiracy theory coming out of uninformed social media users.
As the well-known mechanical engineer explains, he himself has been targeted with an out-of-court letter precisely because he came up with the same conclusion as Professor Karonis. At the same time the opposing side has no conclusion and no evidence whatsoever.
Commenting on the attack on Dimitri Karoni and the targeting of those who did not accept the unlikely conspiracy theories about Thembi, he stresses that these people express an unthinkable fascism and absurdity precisely because they see that the fake news they were spreading cannot stand up in court.
And as he concludes very aptly, we are living in times when the entire Western world is praising Greece for its achievements in recent years, at the same time that at home various centres are raging and trying to impose chaos.
However, it is indeed impressive that the attack on Dimitris Karonis went unnoticed by so many media and so many politicians who supposedly care about the tragedy of Tebes. Of course anything that doesn’t suit their political narrative they fight and bury, let it be the truth.
Here’s the post:
“Beyond 2-3 lines on some sites (or complete silence, on others), the news of the arson of the car of NTUA professor Mr. Karoni, went into the “doo-doo” and I imagine there were more than a few who said “well done to the snitch”, just because his report contained only the scientific truth and not the fantasies of some fringe.
A few weeks ago, on arriving at my office, I saw an extrajudicial invitation from Mr. Tilkerides stuck to my desk, inviting me to hand over the metadata of one of the photographs I have in my technical report on the Tempi. Knowing that this move was due to some bullshit that some science denizen had instilled in him, I simply disregarded it and if called upon, I will give the data to the relevant authorities. I have nothing against him, on the contrary I sympathise with him, but I will not respond knowing that all this is coming from empathetic and unbalanced people who write that ‘compensation will reach 80 million for each victim’. Have mercy!
Hunters say not to approach a wounded bear because then it is much more dangerous. And the fascism, absurdity and rage manifested by people who see the game of money or political conga line they had exalted on the bodies of the victims being lost has now surpassed all (logical or irrational) reasoning and has reached a fantasy realm where anything can happen.
We live in interesting times! Times when the whole Western World is praising the perseverance, consistency and strength projected by our Homeland , after the 2010-2019 misadventure, while at home the rags are still singing…..Kreton shiyan, my friends….”
