Three – of the four – arrested in the case of the murder of the 27-year-old in Agios Dimitrios arrived at the courts of the former Evelpidon School.
The case involves the 18-year-old boyfriend of the 20-year-old drawer and the two young girls, who are charged with harboring a criminal.
All three are being asked to explain the events of the night of the murder and what followed until they admitted their involvement in the case.
The 20-year-old’s contradictions
One of the two young women on trial is the 27-year-old’s former partner – and now the 20-year-old’s current partner.
She claims she was informed of the murder in the early hours of Thursday morning (23/04) by him, and allegedly urged him to surrender to the authorities.
She is also expected to give a statement from her mother, who says she learned of the 27-year-old’s death from the neighbourhood and then contacted her daughter, urging her to return home on the pretext of a family reason.
Note that according to ERT,the investigation has put video footage under the microscope that allegedly captured the 20-year-old perpetrator and a friend heading to the crime scene in Asymatou Park.
They were in a rented vehicle.
This evidence contradicts the initial statement of the accused, who had claimed that he drove to the scene in a different car.
