Israel’s prime minister cites rocket and drones of Hezbollah as a reason to continue military operations in Lebanon.

In an already tense geopolitical environment in the Middle East, new statements from the leadership of Israel bring the tension on the border with Lebanon to the forefront, with Benjamin Netanyahu stressing that Hezbollah’s military activity, via rockets and drones, poses an immediate and durable threat to the country’s security, a fact which – as stressed – necessitates the continuation of operations at both operational and technological levels, further intensifying the concern about a possible escalation of the conflict in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that the dual threat of rockets and drones from pro-Iranian Hezbollah necessitates continuing military action in Lebanon, according to a statement issued by his office.

“There remain two main threats from Hezbollah: 122 rockets and drones. This requires a combination of operational and technological actions.” said Netanyahu.
