Constantine Tasoulas welcomed Dora Bakoyianni to discuss the European obligations and the defence priorities of the country.
A working meeting was held at the Presidential Palace between President of the Republic, Constantine Tasoulas, and Dora Bakoyannis.

The meeting focused on the institutional role of Ms. Bakoyianni’s institutional role at the top of the Deputy Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Parliament, but also her activities at the international level.

The discussion focused on the developments concerning Greece’s position in the Council of Europe, as Mrs. Bakoyannis is a regular member of the Commission that oversees the observance of commitments of the member states.

Ms, Group of the Unified European Left [UEL]) and Miapetra Kumpula-Natri (Finland, Socialists, Democrats and Greens Group [SOC]), as well as the Secretary of the Commission, Damien Cesselin, who are visiting Greece as part of the periodic review process for our country.

Tassoulas discussed with the members of the Commission the latest developments and reforms in the field of the rule of law in Greece in their areas of particular interest.
