The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the exact circumstances of yesterday’s accident at Araxos airport yesterday, during the naming ceremony for a TUI airline aircraft.
In a statement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority in response to the incident that occurred on Friday 1 May 2026 at Araxos Airport, the Civil Aviation Authority expresses its sympathy to the journalists, cameramen and photojournalists who were injured and those who were in danger while trying to document the naming ceremony of the TUI aircraft.
At the same time, it says first aid was immediately administered and the injured were taken by ECAB to hospital for further medical evaluation.
