“One of the greats of sports journalism, Heracles Kotzias, ‘passed away’ today at the age of 88, plunging his fellow sports journalists and the sports family into grief.
Heracles Kotzias was distinguished for his ethics, his impeccable collegiality and his love for young journalists.
He started his career at ”Light of Sports” and then distinguished himself as the editor of ”Apogevmatini” during its peak circulation period. Later, he was the editor of the weekly edition of the newspaper ‘Dikefalos’. He also played a major role in the creation of ”EPA SPOR” in 1993 and in the development and validity of its news broadcasts.
He was a true teacher with innovative ideas, who opened new paths in the profession. His main characteristic was his modesty and integrity.
