The three-day proceedings of the Summit of the New Democracy conclude today (17/05) with the election of the new members of the Political Committee.
The 16th Ordinary Congress of New Democracy enters its final stretch today, Sunday (17/05), with the focus turning to the intra-party ballotsas well as the speech by Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The curtain of the top party process will fall with the voting for the new Political Committee, which will determine the internal correlations and the organizational structure of the party for the next period.
According to the schedule, the voting for the election of Political Committee members will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
From 09:00 to 11:00 there will be speeches by conference delegates under the thematic section “2030: Greece Strong, New Democracy Ahead”.
At 11:00 the Secretary of the Political Committee, Stelios Kontadakis will speak, while immediately afterwards there will be interventions by representatives of European institutions and the Cypriot Republic. In particular, a video greeting by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, will be shown.
This will be followed by speeches by the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Apostolos Tzitzikosta, the Secretary General of the EPP, Dollors Montserrat and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus and President of DISY, Anita Demetriou.
Then the reading of the conclusions of the 16th Ordinary Congress and the statement of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Theodoros Roussopoulos will take place.
The proceedings of the Congress will conclude with the speech of the Prime Minister and President of the New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
