Hold on, because our political “Messiah” Alexis Tsipras is striking again and the social media saga is now gaining stormy pace.
Following yesterday’s “In March it was early…“, Alexis Tsipras is back with a new, compelling riddle post: “In September it will be late…“.
It seems that the former SYRIZA president, in addition to founding new parties, has decided to become the official… “meteorologist” of the country’s political year, handing out oracles that are more reminiscent of advertising for discounts than serious political discourse.
And while the “left-wing condo building” comes crashing down with a bang (deletion of Polakis from Syriza, independence of deputies in NEAR) and while chaos prevails, Mr. Tsipras, with his well-known obsession with communication shows, is preparing – the reports say – to put his “stamp of approval” on his new shop at the end of May (26 or 27). And even with a view of Acropolis!
Because, as we all know, if you don’t have the Parthenon as a background, how are you going to convince the Greek people that your third memorandum was a “heroic negotiation”
It’s really impressive how Mr Tsipras is trying to set up a scene of “national emergency”. We’ve gone from “it was early” to “it will be late”,as if the country is hanging on his own announcements.
In fact, the only one in a hurry is himself, as he sees the spreading Syriza wreckage, the PASOK entrenching itself and Maria Karystianou catching up with him and announcing a party within the next week.
While the left is consumed with social media videos, and internal wars, the Kyriakos Mitsotakis continues to produce work and stability.
Citizens don’t care whether Tsipras speaks in May, June or September. They are interested in the real economy, security and progress, areas in which New Democracy dominates without an opponent.
Serious governance is not judged by Instagram views nor by the geographic coordinates of presentations, but by results. And there, Kyriakos Mitsotakis hasn’t stopped scoring on Alexis Tsipras’s goal.
