The first public reaction from Irene Agapidakis following her health adventure came on Saturday morning (5/23), via a Facebook post.
The deputy health minister, who yesterday felt a strong sickness during her appearance in Parliament, wanted to thank those who stood by her side and reassure those who were worried.
As she wrote: “A little rest and we’ll continue. My heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the Evangelismos for their care and concern.”
Irene Agapidaki initially felt breathlessness and severe discomfort in the plenary chamber. He was immediately taken to the Chamber’s infirmary, where doctors found low oxygen levels.
Soon afterwards it was deemed necessary to be evacuated by ambulance to the “Evangelismos” hospital for preventive examinations. The attending physicians made it clear from the first moment that there was no cause for concern and that her condition was controlled.
