Work to expand the courtroom has been completed to allow the trial in Larissa over the Tempi train accident to continue uninterrupted.
The trial will resume next Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in the renewed courtroom of the Larissa Trial Court of Appeal, as work to expand its capacity has been completed. Specifically, the hall now has an area of 452 sq.m, as well as increased by 100 and the number of seats. At the start of the trial, the trial room had an area of 283.75 sq. m.
Specifically, the Ministry of Justice made interventions in the “Gaiopolis” hall of the conference centre of the University of Thessaly for the smooth conduct of the Tempi trial, following a request from the plenary session of the presidents of the Lawyers’ Associations of Greece.
At the same time, the President of the Court of Appeals of Larissa, Maria Lianou, issued a supplementary – corrective act which she sent to the Plenary of the Presidents of the Bar Associations and the local Bar Associations.
