The post by Nikos Androulakis and what he describes in it show that he is still munching the daisy.
It may have taken an… informal briefing to clarify the reasons for Nikos Androulakis’ post, which was essentially made in order to keep the toxic rhetoric of PASOK, however, it seems that Charilaou Trikoupis is still considering the possibility of filing a motion of impeachment.
“Today’s post by N. Anrouakis is not only an attempt to highlight the political and political importance of the opposition, but also to highlight the fact that he is a member of the opposition. Androulakis’ post is the ideological text of the political change represented by PASOK” the post says, although in it the president of the –even if only by accident– opposition party expresses, as he says, his personal pain on the issue of surveillance which has become a kind of obsession.
But what he says could actually form the basis for the filing of a motion of impeachment, which seems to remain on the table of the suggestions he is receiving for the next steps with an eye always on Alexis Tsipras, who announces his new party on Tuesday.
In Charilaou Trikoupis there are two views and they are expressed by executives who are next to, maybe even… next to, Nikos Androulakis. The first is in favour of the filing of a motion of impeachment on the grounds that this will continue the hard rock against the government at the level of the House of Representatives, from which his main opponent, namely Alexis Tsipras, is absent.
In fact, this view includes two more parameters. The first is linked to the fact that the president of PASOK will be able to appear as the head of the opposition as a whole, while with his divisive and toxic rhetoric and high tones he may be able to overcome the announcement of the new party by Alexis Tsipras and the communication barrage that will follow.
The other view argues that a motion of impeachment at this time will not offer anything more to PASOK, but will instead rally New Democracy. Executives expressing this view say that ND has internal party problems and are also betting on a new Samaras party that will, they say, cause more attrition.
At the same time, they note that Alexis Tsipras’ announcement of the new party will be a move that will keep interest high for a few 24 hours,as he will soon find himself under pressure from his former comrades waiting in the corner.
Of course this reading is flawed, all the more so as Alexis Tsipras seems to be the… chosen one of external actors who no longer bet on PASOK and its leader, who barely reaches 6% in suitability for prime minister.
However, the next 24 hours will show where the daisy plucking will end up…
