As of Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the OPEKA Rural Home programs go into effect, offering significant benefits to thousands of beneficiaries throughout the country.

At the same time, the results of the call have already been posted, while those interested can find out more through the official website of the Organization.

The programmes will remain active from 10 June 2026 to 28 February 2027 and include:

-Social Tourism

-Somatic Tourism

-Excursion Program

-Free Book Provision

-Free Theatre Tickets

The completed eligible recipientscan be informed of the results via the OPEKA website and can pick up their participation cards from any KEP in the country.

For the Social and Medical Tourism programmes, beneficiaries must first make a reservation at a contracted accommodation and receive a confirmation (voucher).

The draw was held by the Governor of OPEKA, Mr. Epaminondas Atsaves in the presence of the Directorate of Rural Economy with the assistance of the Information Technology Department of the Organization. Beneficiaries of the Programmes can visit the Agency’s website (www.opeka.gov.gr) in order to be informed of the results of the draw (here).

The lists of the contracted providers are posted on the Agency’s website (here).

This requires:

Registration of the reservation data in the special online application of the OPEKA.

Waiting for at least 30 minutes after registration.

Visiting any KEP to collect the vouchers.

For the Excursion Programme and Free Theatre Ticket Scheme, the vouchers are collected directly from the KEPs.

What is required for collection

The beneficiaries must produce:

-Identity Card

-Copy of the application form or any document showing the AMKA

The presence of the direct beneficiary is mandatory.

Free books without vouchers

For the free book scheme, no voucher is required.

The beneficiaries can directly visit the contracted bookstores and publishing houses by presenting only their identity card to select the books they want.

The Children’s Camp Program

The Children’s Camp Program will begin on June 15, 2026.

The duration of the program is set:

-To August 31, 2026 for typically developing children.

-To September 10, 2026 for children with more than 50% disability.

Parents can print the participation form through the online platform where they submitted their application, using their VAT and Social Security numbers.

There is no financial contribution from the beneficiaries for the accommodation of children in the camps.

For the Children’s Camp Program, beneficiaries can visit the Agency’s website (www.opeka.gov.gr) in order to be informed about the results of the draw (here). The cards of the drawn children are printed from the special electronic application, where the relevant application was submitted (here), by entering the VAT and Social Security number of the child’s parent.

Deadlines

The beneficiaries of the social and spa tourism, excursions and theatre programmes must receive their vouchers by 31 August 2026.

Along the same lines, beneficiaries of the book program will have to get their books by September 30, 2026.

After these dates, the unused vouchers will be redistributed to runner-up beneficiaries, and those who do not utilize their entitlement in time will not participate in the redistribution process.

Up to 12 free nights in specific regions

This year, there is a special provision for North Evia, the Regional Unit of Evros, as well as the Regional Units of Magnesia, Karditsa, Larissa and Trikala.

In these regions, beneficiaries can enjoy:

Up to 12 free overnight stays

Up to 11 free thermal baths

In addition, on the islands of the North Aegean and South Aegean Regions, as well as in Evros, overnight stays are provided with zero private participation.

New announcements are expected

OPEKA clarifies that new announcements will be made in the near future for the cash assistance and awards programs for mothers with three and more children, as well as for scholarships.
