Police operation in Attica to dismantle a circuit trafficking guns and drugs.
A major police operation by the Athens Criminal Investigation and Detection Department, with the assistance of OPKE and EKAM, is underway since early morning in areas of Attica, to dismantle a criminal organization that has been active in the drug and arms trade since at least December 2025.
According to ELAS, so far eight people have been arrested, seven men of Albanian origin and one Greek woman, while the alleged leader of the organization is among those arrested.
So far, police searches of homes and warehouses have found and seized quantities of drugs and cartridges.
Official announcements are expected from the Greek police after the operation is completed.
