“The gas pedal is for the track, not for the road”

Next, when asked about the overall impact of the race on both sports tourism and the promotion of social messages—with an emphasis on road safety and reducing traffic accidents in Greece— the Prime Minister emphatically stated:

“I think the message is clear: the gas pedal is for the racetrack, not for the road. And the fact that Greek drivers are developing—with the help, I would say, of a government that has prioritized road safety— a different culture of behavior on the road is certainly a major national achievement.

In his post, the Prime Minister refers to the international exposure that the EKO Acropolis Rally brings to Greece, emphasizing the event’s importance for sports tourism, the local economy, and the country’s international outreach.
