In indictments against two persons who were found dumping illegal rubble and waste in common area on Icaron Street, in Foinica, proceeded Municipality of Kalamaria, after recording two separate incidents of pollution in the area.
The offenders were identified as part of inspections and monitoring of the area, on the road leading to the National Judicial School, uncontrolled dumping of building materials and other waste, causing serious environmental pollution.
The Municipal Authority reacted immediately, proceeding to identify the perpetrators, filing accusations and remediation and cleaning up the site, while at the same time proceedings are proceeding to impose administrative and financial penalties.
At the same time, the Municipality of Kalamaria in cooperation with the authorities responsible for environmental protection of the El.AΣ. is proceeding to strengthen circumventions and inspections in the wider area, with particular emphasis on places where repeated phenomena of unregulated dumping of bazaars are recorded.
The Municipal Authority is sending a clear message: no tolerance for practices that degrade the environment and endanger public health. Those responsible will be identified and brought to Justice.
