Meeting at the ECEA was held by Giannis Bratakos with the Ambassador of Slovakia, Marcella Hanusova.
The possibilities of strengthening business cooperation between Greece and Slovakia, with emphasis on participation in international exhibition events, and in particular BEYOND Expo, the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Giannis Bratisakos, had the opportunity to discuss with the Slovak Ambassador to Greece, Marcella Hanusova, during a meeting held at the ACCI.
The focus of the discussion, according to an announcement, was the preparation of the Slovak participation in the next edition of BEYOND Expo, with the creation of a national pavilion, under the support of the embassy, in which innovative companies from cutting-edge sectors such as artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies (ICT), digital applications and innovation are expected to participate.
At the same time, the organization of parallel activities within the framework of the exhibition, such as bilateral business forums, targeted meetings (B2B) and business presentations (pitching sessions) was discussed, with the aim of linking Greek and Slovak businesses and exploring opportunities for cooperation in dynamic sectors of the economy.
The Ambassador extended an invitation to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to actively contribute to the information of its members and to encourage the participation of Greek companies both in the exhibition and in the parallel business activities. Special reference was made to the possibility of participation of a wider business delegation, beyond the exhibitors, in order to expand contacts and create new partnerships.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed that the use of international exhibitions, such as BEYOND Expo, is an important tool for strengthening the extroversion of Greek entrepreneurship, as well as for the development of synergies with dynamic European economies, contributing to the creation of greater value for the economy. “The use of international events creates substantial opportunities for linking Greek entrepreneurship with dynamic innovation ecosystems. Greece can act as a hub for cooperation and investment in South East Europe, strengthening its position in high value-added sectors such as artificial intelligence and digital technologies. Strengthening extroversion and developing synergies with European countries, such as Slovakia, is a crucial factor for creating greater value in the economy,” said Mr. Bratakos.
The meeting confirmed the willingness of both sides to strengthen their cooperation through targeted actions within the framework of BEYOND Expo, creating new opportunities for businesses and further strengthening economic relations between Greece and Slovakia.
