To mark World Nurses Day Nurses, the Minister of Health has promised full recognition of their work before the end of their term of office.
The Minister of Health made an explicit promise to meet the standing demands of the nursing profession, Adonis Georgiadis, via a message posted on social media.
Timing Nurse Day, Georgiadis made it clear that his central goal for the remainder of his term is to ensure that EESY the professional and financial recognition they deserve. “The purpose of the remainder of my term is… to have done everything possible to ensure that nurses get the institutional recognition they truly deserve,” he said.
The minister acknowledged the critical contribution of nurses to the functioning of the health system, noting that without them, patients would not be able to receive the necessary care.
He also praised the self-denial of staff, noting that many exceed themselves and take time away from their families to perform their duties.
In conclusion, Georgiadis stressed that “the time has come for the Greek government to recognize all that you deserve,” accompanying his commitments with a heartfelt “thank you” to all nurses in the country.
