The conclusion of the 16th Summit of the New Democracy, with the speech of Kyriakos Mitsotakis setting out with absolute realism the dilemmas of the country with a view to 2030, has obviously caused a nervous crisis in the opposition communications staffs.
Mr. Tsoukalas accused prime minister that he presents himself as a “Messiah”, because very simply Kyriakos Mitsotakis described the obvious: that the fourfold stability, cohesion, consistency and continuity is the only guarantee that Greece will not return to the dark ages of decadence and experimentation.
It is said that in PASOK they get annoyed when someone talks about a specific government plan and projects, as they have run out of proposals and all they have left is funny catastrophism.
The New Democracy government, instead of “settling for dealing with yesterday” as Mr. Tsoukalas, is dealing with the big problems on a daily basis, supporting the income of citizens, bringing investment and shocking the country internationally.
For PASOK to talk about “maintaining decadence” while the country is constantly upgrading and acquiring a leading role in Europe is the ultimate monument of political blindness.
Mr. Tsoukalas promises “political change”, only he forgets something very important. Ask the Greek people if they want to change the government and the prime minister. And because, with summer approaching, there’s no need for unnecessary grief, he’d better not ask because they probably won’t like the answer at all.
